CEO Steve and Charlie's 100mile South Downs Way Challenge raises over £2,800

Steve and Charlie on Day 1

CEO Steve Swift and colleague Charlie Ilderton walked the 100 mile South Downs way in just 4 days - all while sporting our fabulous Rose Road pink tutus! - with the aim to raise funds to support more opportunities for outdoor adventures for the children and young adults we support. We've shared their progress below, and across our social media channels over the days of the challenge!

The Route

Starting in Eastbourne, they treked up to 30 miles a day, finishing in Winchester, with daily distances of:

Day 1 - 30 miles – Eastbourne to Plumpton
Day 2 - 24 miles – Plumpton to Arundel
Day 3 - 28 miles – Arundel to Petersfield
Day 4 - 18 miles – Petersfield to Winchester

Getting out and about in nature is so important for our health and wellbeing. The young people we support love being active, too. So, Steve and Charlie hope to raise this money to support our respite and outreach teams to make more trips out to amazing activities and destinations, which will empower disabled young people to thrive, feel a sense of belonging, get involved, have fun with friends and achieve their aspirations.
